Luchana Mission Church is the continuation of a Church of England work which began amongst the families of the men making the railways and docks, at the end of the nineteenth century (i.e. 1890’s).
The church is supported by the Luchana Mission Trust. The trustees manage a sum of money, the income from which provides financial support for three churches in Barry owned by the Trust.
Due to the diligence of the trustees in managing the investment, the Luchana Mission has been able to continue through the difficult years of low adult attendance. Many of the Luchana church members were once Sunday School and Youth Club members themselves.
We thank the Trust for their continued support and help towards church growth.
We are a friendly and informal church in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. We welcome anyone from all walks of life who has the desire to receive and serve Christ.
